By August 20, 2026Announcements

AlatesThe Dronecode Foundation is pleased to announce that Alates Aerospace has joined as a [Silver] Member. Based in İzmir, Türkiye, Alates designs and manufactures eVTOL UAVs, precision navigation systems, and defence-grade avionics for operators who cannot afford failure. Founded in late 2024, the company moved from first sketch to operational platforms in a single year.

The Alates fleet is led by the ALES-1 and ALES-2, VTOL fixed-wing platforms delivering up to 4.5 and 3.5 hours of endurance respectively, and an operational reach beyond 300 km for the ALES-1. The lineup also includes the ALES-H50 cargo helicopter and the ALES NAV family for precision flight in GPS-denied environments. Alates develops Pixhawk-standard flight controllers in-house and distributes CUAV and T-Motor hardware across Turkey and Europe, giving the company a complete view of the open-source drone stack.

“Joining the Dronecode Foundation is a natural step in our mission to advance unmanned aerial systems. As a company developing Pixhawk-standard flight controllers in-house, we want to contribute directly to the open-source autopilot ecosystem that powers the global drone industry.” — Syed Yasir Rehan, CTO & Co-Founder, Alates Aerospace

Alates brings hands-on experience across airframes, avionics, and navigation, and a clear commitment to building on open standards. We warmly welcome the Alates team to the Dronecode Foundation and look forward to their contributions to the open-source autopilot ecosystem.
