Announcing New Dronecode Membership Benefits: Flight Testing, Consulting, and More

By June 1, 2026Announcements

Dronecode is rolling out a meaningful upgrade to membership. Every member organization now gets direct access to flight-tested code, hands-on project support, and ecosystem visibility through three new benefits available across Platinum, Gold, and Silver tiers.

Flight testing, powered by Ascend Engineering

We’re proud to announce that Ascend Engineering is now our official Flight Test team. Ascend brings professional flight test expertise, custom test card development, and structured reporting to the PX4 community.

What this means for members:

  • Platinum and Gold members get Pull Request and Pre-Release Flight Testing with custom test cards. Work directly with the Ascend team to define the scenarios, configurations, and edge cases that matter to your products, and get them flown and reported on before code lands or ships.
  • Silver members get Pre-Release Flight Testing, ensuring the releases your products depend on have been validated against real-world flight conditions.

This is a significant step forward for the PX4 ecosystem. Open source drone software has always been built by a global community, and now that community gets a professional flight test backbone behind it.

Project success consulting hours

We’re also introducing dedicated consulting time with the Dronecode team:

  • Silver members receive 15 hours.
  • Platinum and Gold members receive 15 hours, plus priority on requests and priority pull request review.

Use the time for architecture reviews, integration support, contribution planning, or whatever helps your team ship. Platinum and Gold organizations get moved to the front of the queue.

Member Product and Service Directory

All member tiers now get a listing in the Member Product and Service Directory on the Dronecode website, giving your organization visibility to the developers, integrators, and operators building on PX4, Pixhawk, MAVLink, MAVSDK, and QGroundControl.

The new service directory will be coming soon, so apply today to ensure your product or service is listed using our new member offering submission form.

Why now

The drone industry is maturing fast, and the demands on open source infrastructure are growing with it. These benefits reflect what our member organizations have been telling us they need: confidence in the code they ship, direct access to expertise, and visibility within the ecosystem they help build.

Existing members can reach out to the Dronecode team to start using the new benefits today.
